I guess it is only fair that I start the intros...most of you will know me as JenGe, the webmaster of The Equilibrium Fansite which I began in Feb. 2003. The idea for this current site (Movie Body Counts) came about due to disputes with fans of other films as to the tally for EQ. When asked on IMDb what the count was for Hard Boiled and Kill Bill I could not find an adequate source for the info on-line...so I jumped at the chance to build another film related site. As I stated this is a work in progress and over time the database will expand but I will more than appreciate any help anyone may want to extend. This site and board are for all fans of action related films be they war, sci/fi, swashbucklers, or gun toter's!! Me...

Hi Really looking forward to seeing this site grow. ;D YEY! to you Jen. I wouldn't say I'm an action junkie, but I really like that side of things if it's really visually appealing, not action for action's sake (bit like swearing really, too many films these days have it laced throughout, and when it's not neccessary, it cheapens the film IMO). Anyways off to have a thoroughly excellent time this evening watching some visually appealing thtuff. friv. XXXx *slinks away hoping that didn't sound too pretentious, and did I spell pretentious correctly....*

Hi *slinks away hoping that didn't sound too pretentious, and did I spell pretentious correctly....* No, no worries...it was fine. Action certainly is not for everyone but it certainly gives me a rush.

Hey everybody! It's fun to see so many other action-fans. It's tough for me to find people to talk to about movies since most of my friends would rather watch What a Girl Wants or High School Musical. A little bit about myself: I love movies, my mom is always bugging me about doing things that are "productive" instead of watching movies. Oh, and my record is watching EQ is five times in a row (as soon as it finished I started it over again.)

Looks like I missed this thread.
I'm Ankhareon (Anky to most). I live in New Zealand and make non-commercial 2d games in my spare time including Halo: Blood Covenant (in progress) and The Prince of Persia:SoT 2D Trilogy (also in progress). I also make game engines and sprites in my spare time, although few ever get turned into real games. I love playing video games as much as i like making them, my favourites being the Prince of Persia series, The Halo series and the Unreal series).
I love action, comedy, sci-fi and dystopia movies with a preference for anything with martial arts. I severely dislike or am uninterested in romantic comedies, horror movies and anything anime (I consider it to be the poorest excuse for animation ever made. Notable exceptions being The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury, The Animatrix and the Anime section of Kill Bill vol. 1). There are very few movies I can say I don't like and I am a Media Studies student, so I love to analyze almost everything I see. That said, this website looks to be a perfect place for me.

Hello, I found the intro thread! Well, as you might have noticed I love samurai flims and Japanese films, as well as most hong-kong films, and action / horor / comedy pop stuff also if its good. I am not Japanese, although I can read/write/speak some Japanese and Cantonise. I love the genre of Samurai films and Japanese culture for various reasons, the main one being my love of the samurai caste and the historical intriegue of ancient Japan / China / Mongolia / Korea. I am also a huge martal arts lover and so that is why I tend to be attracted to Asain films. I found this from following JenGe's amazing Equilibrium Fan Site. I am happy to be here and begin doing counts for important Japanese Samurai films and expand from that. Here is a picture of my wonderful family, my wife Silvia and my step Daughter Lexxie. Also not as visable in this picture is my son, "Johnathan Yoshimitzu" who is only 6 months old being carried by my wife, due March 4th, 2007. Although she has yet to agree to the middle name of "Yoshimitzu" well have to wait and see about that. And that is us. Looking forward to conrtibuting.

Wows, we just might get along. I make games myself (though I never finish any of them), and I am a big fan of PoP. The second part of your post I am a bit less happy about. All you foos are old I like that, it gives me an excuss for being dumb.

Just try going to a movie with one of those little ones is a major feat. I remember...now I get to escape when ever I want to.

Glad to be here! This be me... Pay no attention to the unauthentic Jagermeister hat I have on. The rest is all legit! Well, I guess you should also ignore the action sequence-killing random office toboggan and the risk thing. 0_o Body count during this photo shoot = 0
