The film count is approximately 45. This will be double checked and a breakdown created when the DVD is released.

Any further counts?
I just sat down and did a count. Came out to 33 definites and 1 that I'm not certain about. I will break down the kills by scene and means of death. Marked the one I'm not certain of with Purple font. Miscellaneous non-counted stuff is marked with Red.
Scenes:
Guy Fawkes Captured: Fawkes attacks a few men but does not seem to do anything more than hit and push them out of the way. 1 - Guy Fawkes himself (hung)
Past Curfew (Fingermen encounter): 1 - Fingerman (expandable baton hit) V is a very strong man, one would assume that a hit from him like that, would be fatal, but we don't see a dead body or where the blow lands.
V-TV escape: 5 - Policemen (dagger, though one was shot and stabbed)
Voice of London's Shower: 1 - Commander Prothero (poisoned)
Bishop's Chamber: 1 - Bishop Lilliman (poisoned)
Coroner's Bedroom: 1 - Dr. Diana Stanton aka Delia Surridge (poisoned)
Mass Grave: 23+ - accurate count is pretty well impossible in the jumble
5th of Novemeber (end of the experiment): 2 - Doctors (explosion of flames)
Valerie's Tale (Evey's jail cell): 1 - Valerie (virus, see her dead in the mass grave earlier so I counted it)
Rookwood's Tale: 1 - Dead Test Subject (virus)
Mob after Graffiti with mask: 1 - Little Girl (shot by Fingerman) 1 - Fingerman (beaten by mob)
Abandoned Tube Station: 1 - High Chancellor Adam Sutler (shot by Creedy) 15 - Soldiers (dagger) 1 - Creedy (choked by gloved hands)
Train to Parliament: 1 - V (shot up by soldiers earlier)
Buildings and other such: 1 - Old Bailey 1 - Parliament 1 - Train
So thats:
Total Definite Bodies: 33 Undecided: 1 Buildings: 2 Trains: 1 Misc Dead: 23+
Means of death:
Disease: 2 Dagger: 19 Poisoned: 3 Choked: 1 Hung: 1 Shot: 4 Baton: 1 Explosions: 4 (2 buildings and 2 people)
Character Count:
Codename V: 24 Definite Kills Creedy: 1 Definite Kill
That is my count on it.

I'm going to hold off on finalizing this page until I can get this one worked out.
We do not count "piles" of jumbled bodies here. We do not even attempt to do it except for those that are "clearly" shown in a scene (foremost in a shot). This site is mostly for on screen "kills & hits." We do not do an "arm" here or a leg there.
See guidelines...
Unspecified/displayed bodies (one's that do not actually have an "on screen" hit)
do not count - unspecified piles or strewn "bodies" (ie-war films) unless they are clear and countable. These will be noted though in the misc. section.
do count Any unspecified but clearly shown "displayed" bodies (IE crucifixions, hangings...)
Can someone please double check this one for me??

I know you don't count piles, I just did a quick count of what I could see. The number was not added to the final count, it was just a stupid little count I did. Doesn't mean anything. Just change it to say "Pile of uncountable bodies". I have a Character count for V, I will edit the post to reflect it, forgot to include it.
Like I said, an accurate count is damn near if not impossible so there is no point to coutning it by your guidelines.

I think I'm still going to hold off of this one. There is something about the grave shot that is bothering me. You can obviously see some characters like Valerie. Those NEED to be counted.
I think I may have to do the grave myself because if a body is plainly & prominately shown (like a head shot) it needs to be in the count.

When it comes to counting piles, I always count anything where I can see the clear majority of the body. If I can't see the upper half or lower half of the body, I don't count it. For that pile of bodies in V for Vendetta, it needs to be counted, because they are almost entirely people that you see alive earlier in the film, dead later in the film, and their corpses are shown.
