*This is very, very tentative. It's almost like trying to count 300, virtually impossible without a freeze-frame option since there is so much going on within a shot. I expect the finalization to be quite different than this.
Incomplete count: 152++
Opening (hangings & bodies): approximately 20* Bathhouse Raid: approximately 25* Flying Dutchman: approximately 18* Multiplicity: 2 Floating Bodies: need to be counted with DVD* Rocking the Ship: 1 (smashed by falling debris) Jungle: 1 body "Accord": 6* Captain Swan: 4* Another Fight: 4* Norrington: 1 Piles: 3* Pirate King: 1 Mum: 1 shrunken head Locked in Battle/Wedding: 51* Endeavor goes down: 14*

Wow, that's a lot!
I was thinking of seeing this movie soon. What do you think of it, Jen?

I really loved it but then I'm a fan of mythology. I had no trouble keeping up will the plot having been raised on Shakespeare. Dizzying stuff there.
Anyway, I seem to be one of the few that didn't care much for #1 (except that it introduced the character of Jack Sparrow to the world) but absolutely loved both 2 & 3 (nothing tops a "Jack Kabob" ;D). Badelt's score though is better from 1 than the original Zimmer stuff in the latter films.
Pure Summer entertainment.

Thanks, Jen! I loved the first one, and liked the second slightly less except for Jack. LOL @ "Jack Kabob". He's probably the main reason I would see the third.
Kewl, I'm looking forward to watching this tomorrow. ;D

Well I can see why most people do not care for 2 & 3. They are very different from the first one and sort of a spin on Clash of the Titans.
I think I'm one of the few that likes "Black Pearl" the least of the three.

You didn't like #1 As much as I like the music in the first one, nothing will ever beat Davy Jone's theme song. Organ music FTW!

That's actually heavily based on an old piece of music, The Flying Dutchman opera by Richard Wagner written in 1843. There is an organ solo in it as well that sounds very similar. It may even be the same. I'm looking for info on it right now.

This movie was really hard. Even with the DVD. This count is still tentative but it's a lot better. It needs a double check and character by character breakdown please.
