Um, Freddy doesn't die at the end. When Jason is holding Freddy's head, Freddy looks up at him and winks, and Freddy vs Jason 2 has been in production hell for like 4 years, so how can they make a sequel without a lead character?
I might be a dick, and i might just single out slash(because its easy) but doesn't this just seem odd?

I don't know, Dave. It's a tough call. In League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Quatermain clearly dies and is buried, but it was strongly suggested that the witch doctor brought him back to life. But I still counted it as a kill. There's the very good possibility that they won't make a sequel to this, and even if they did he clearly died and didn't appear again by the end of the movie. On the other hand, I didn't count Professor Xavier's death in the third X-men movie, although his body clearly disintegrated. Maybe I should have, no matter how badly I wanted to see him kept alive. The final scene also only suggested that Prof. X may have transferred himself to the comatose patient, thus setting up for a sequel. I haven't seen Freddy VS Jason so I can't say one way or the other. Did Freddy look like he died? Was it a mortal hit? How was the franchise for either Freddy or Jason treated--- I mean, did they "die" in any of the movies and came back for the sequels? Maybe it's better to treat each movie as one separate entity, as if there were no sequels planned? If there's a poll taken for this, I'll have to change the count for one movie or the other.

This is one of those that can go either way depending on what is done in future films.
As for Professor X, if his "body died" then that would be a body/kill even if he gets a "new" body. Some of these are judgment calls especially when characters move from "body" to body like in Heaven Can Wait (though I believe most of those are off screen).

As for Professor X, if his "body died" then that would be a body/kill even if he get a "new" body. What was I thinking then? If I use the same argument for this as for League of E. G., then the same holds true. Yep, his body clearly died. It didn't matter if the body that Prof. X transferred himself into was shown. I hate to add to your work burden, Jen, but I've changed the count for X-Men Last Stand. (I'll gladly change the page myself and email you the file, Jen. ;D)

I'm pretty sure that no slasher hero will ever count as a kill. They die at the end of every single movie, and always come back for more.
