RED DAWN (Charlie Sheen, Patrick Swayze)

By scene
School: 2 shot
Chase: 1 shot (death off-screen, corpse visible),
Town: 1 blown up
Mountain: 1 animal shot
Monument: 3 shot (1 by Swayze)
Plains: 15 shot
Gas station: 1 blown up, 3 shot (2 by Swayze, 1 by Sheen)
Roadside: 9 shot
Random place: 3 shot, 7 blown up (1 by Swayze, 2 by Sheen)
Friendship centre: 1 blown up
Convoy: 7 shot, 10 blown up (5 by Swayze)
Prison Break-in: 11 shot, 8 blown up (2 by Swayze)
Aftermath: 4 shot
Battlefield: 1 shot, 2 blown up (1 by Sheen)
Trees: 10 shot, 3 blown up (1 by Swayze, 1 by Sheen)
Plains: 2 shot (1 by Swayze)
Rocks: 2 shot
Aftermath: 1 blown up (1 by Swayze)
Final attack: 5 shot, 6 blown up (4 by Sheen, 4 by Swayze)

Totals
Total body count: 118
Patrick Swayze: 18
Charlie Sheen: 9
[Note: the Swayze/Sheen body counts are probably higher due to the large number of scenes where commies get massacred and you don't see who the shooters are]

Miscellaneous
400 million Chinese die in nuclear war
1 animal is killed on-screen
Large numbers of deaths and/or corpses are discussed but never shown on-screen...

By kill type
Shot: 78
Blown up: 40

This was a fairly tough one, cause it was often hard to work out how many people were being shot when they're randomly lined up. So using the strict counting method, I got 118, but if you count everyone who probably would've been killed, animals, off-screen deaths, and deaths discussed by characters, the count is (I think) 400,000,136.

No joke.

It's funny that you should post this one because I was actually thinking about it the other day. I didn't think that you'd be able to read my mind!!!

Yeah, there's a reason I really do not do these...heck I could state in a film that billions died and up my bodycount with no effort at all. ;D

Yeah, it's dodgy to include deaths that are only talked about...

And here was I thinking I was one of the few people who actually liked Red Dawn. But it needed to be done due to the high body count; I thought it was about 140-ish, but hey. Big enough, good enough.

Yeah, I had one of those on Serenity where it was not clear who actually shot the guy so I didn't give it to anyone character.

No, you're not the only one who likes Red Dawn. It was quite a profound film for me when I was a teen. It's been years since I've seen it though.
