Note: i have seen both the theatrical and the director's cuts, and i can say that a butt ton of scenes were added, ESPECIALLY during combat. scenes loaded with gore, guts, and most importantly, deaths. its very apparent in the scene "siege of troy" which also happens to be a particularly disturbing scene that involves hangings, rape, burnings, and other forms of merciless slaughter performed on men, women, and babies. Note on bodies: i counted bodies somewhat strangely. for example, in the scene "gates of troy" it says that 165 greeks were killed. many of these kills were in fact dead bodies. i sometimes counted dead bodies as kills, like if a volley of arrows takes out a dozen guys and a dozen more are seen on the ground with arrows sticking out in all directions. in intense combat scenes i counted bodies as "bodies" only if i couldnt recognize which faction they belonged to. also in intense combat scenes when i say that there is a certain amount of bodies, im going with the absolute bare minimum because theres no way anyone could count all of them. all of this aside, all the onscreen deaths are there and accounted for. Another Note: i payed VERY close attention to the background in combat scenes and i came up with quite a few deaths. a few of the deaths i counted were people who fell and did not get up. for instance in the background if a trojan falls over and doesnt move, i scan for any major characters in the area and when i come up with none, i count it as a greek kill.
