Since I'm sick and feel like crap, I decided to do it. Now my count differs from the one on the page by about 50 bodies. This is because that counted only people seen getting killed in the movie. I counted bodies as well, of course only bodies that could be seen well. Here is my count: Saving Private Ryan: Director: Steven Spielberg Stars: Tom Hanks (Captain Miller), Tom Sizemore (Sergeant Horvath), Edward Burns (Private Reiben), Jeremy Davies (Corporal Upham), Matt Damon (Private Ryan) Total: 255 By Character: Germans: 159 Americans: 31 Captain Miller: 9 Private Jackson: 8 Corporal Henderson: 7 Private Reiben: 7 Private Mellish: 7 Private Ryan: 4 Sergeant Horvath: 4 Private Parker: 4 Private Doyle: 4 Lieutenant DeWindt: 3 Private Trask: 3 Steamboat Willie: 2 Private Rice: 1 Corporal Upham: 1 (this adds up to 254 but remember there was that guy at the beginning who drowned!)
